This Paint Booth building is designed as a self-contained, cutting edge painting facility to paint WMATA's buses. The Paint Booth can also be considered as an equipment, with it's own functional systems built-in to include mechanical, electrical, lighting and fire protection systems, which optimizes it's functionality. As part of the larger scope, a complete stormwater management system for the entire Landover Garage site was designed. This feature as well as a number of other Sustainability considerations contributed towards earning LEED Silver certification. Construction cost $27 million.
