A 60,973 SF existing building on the Rockville Campus, renovated in accordance with the College's Facilities Master Plan and Building Educational Space Specifications. This newly renovated building houses general purpose classrooms, and the mathematics and education departments. Overall building renovations included general building improvements, HVAC system replacement and related energy conservation measures, and building access improvements. An asbestos removal was performed under the Federal and States Asbestos guidelines. Montgomery College commitment towards energy conservation, waste steam reduction, leadership in establishing successful recycling program and many other sustainable features implemented by the college, contributed towards earning the LEED Gold Award.
